When CBS Sports kicks off the 2015 NFL season today, Sept. 13 (12:00 NOON, ET), the network's pregame show THE NFL TODAY will have a new look with a re-designed set, and a new feel, as the show's traditional format is being changed to incorporate a faster-paced, high energy, rapid fire format with quick-hitting news updates.

Anchor James Brown, along with analysts Boomer Esiason, Bill Cowher, Tony Gonzalez and Bart Scott will be featured in a rapid-style opening segment from different broadcast areas in the studio, veering from the traditional main desk setting. Throughout the show, the announcers will be stationed at various areas around the studio including in-front of the newly designed, floor-to-ceiling, high-tech video wall, a living room setting, as well as the desk.

The new set design features a retro stadium meets loft-style setting that includes technology's latest video screen wall incorporating full screen graphics, highlights and live shots from the field. The new set also features a touch screen, monitors set on tracks for easier and more accessible mobility, the latest LED lighting and a brand new desk with a 50% larger curved LED monitor in the front.

Marking its 48th year, THE NFL TODAY is the prototype for all NFL studio shows that followed. The first show as THE NFL TODAY, a 15-minute regional broadcast, aired on September 13, 1964.

Sean McManus is Chairman, CBS Sports and serves as the Executive Producer for THE NFL ON CBS. David Berson is President, CBS Sports. Harold Bryant is Executive Producer and Senior Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.

Drew Kaliski is producer and Bob Matina is director of THE NFL TODAY.
