During the week of December 7, 2015, ABC aired 4 of the Top 15 entertainment programs in Adults 18-49, placing 4 of the Top 6 comedies with its Wednesday 8:00-10:00 p.m. comedy block: "Modern Family" - No. 4, "The Middle" and "The Goldbergs" tied at No. 9 and black-ish" - No. 15.

Season-to-Date Show Rankings Update (Most Current data stream): The Net airs 8 of the Top 20 entertainment series this season on broadcast TV in Adults 18-49, delivering 5 in the Top 10 (the most for any net) with 3 of the Top 5 dramas (TGIT lineup): "Modern Family" (4.1 rating) and "Scandal" (4.1 rating) tie at No. 3, "Grey's Anatomy" (3.9 rating) - No. 6, "How to Get Away with Murder" (3.8 rating) - No. 7, "The Goldbergs" (3.0 rating) - No. 10, "black-ish" (2.8 rating) and "Quantico" (2.8 rating) tie at No. 14 and "The Middle" (2.7 rating) - No. 18.


Monday
"The Great Christmas Light Fight" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 5.1 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m. opposite NBC's "The Voice" and CBS' original dramas ("Supergirl"/"Scorpion"), ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight" special tripled Fox's special in the 2-hour time slot ("TV's Funniest Animated Stars") with Total Viewers (+200% - 5.1 million vs. 1.7 million) and doubled it in Adults 18-49 (+100% - 1.2/4 vs. 0.6/2). The show was steady with its most recent telecast last December in Adults 18-49 (1.3/4 on 12/22/14).

Tuesday
"The Muppets" (8:00-8:30 p.m. - 3.8 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):
At 8:00 p.m., ABC freshman "The Muppets" held even week to week with Total Viewers (3.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.1/4). In addition, the ABC comedy was up for the 2nd week with Men 18-34 (+20%) and also spiked over the prior week with Teens 12-17 (+40%) and Kids 2-11 (+33%).

• During its Fall 2015 run, "The Muppets" improved its slot for ABC by nearly 2.0 million viewers (6.5 million vs. 4.7 million) and by 47% in Adults 18-49 (2.2/8 vs. 1.5/5).

"Fresh Off the Boat" (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 3.9 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):
Building on its lead-in at 8:30 p.m., ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" built 7% week to week in Total Viewers (3.9 million vs. 3.7 million) and was steady with its week-ago Adult 18-49 rating (1.2/4 vs. 1.3/4). The ABC sophomore comedy delivered its most watched telecast overall in 5 weeks - since 11/3/15.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 3.8 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):
At 9:00 p.m., ABC's winter finale of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." held even with the previous week in Total Viewers (3.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.3/4). In addition, the ABC drama was up week to week with Men 18-34 (+11% - to a 7-week high - since 10/20/15), Men 18-49 (+7% - to a 5-week high), Men 25-54 (+6% - to a 5-week high) and Teens 12-17 (+14% - matching a best-since-premiere rating - since 9/29/15). In fact the show's winter finale finished No. 1 in the hour across all key Men demos.

Live + 7 for Most Recent Telecast (11/17/15): ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." scored a playback high for the season in Adults 18-49, growing +85% over its L+SD rating to deliver a 2.4 L+7 rating - up 4% week to week after holding even in L+SD.

Wednesday
ABC ran a strong second on Wednesday in Adults 18-49 to CBS (1.7/6 vs. 1.9/6) and ranked No. 1 with its 8:00-10:00 p.m. comedy block (2.1/7-tie). ABC's "Modern Family" was Wednesday's No. 1 TV show in Adults 18-49 (2.6/9) while "The Middle" (2.0/7) and "The Goldbergs" (2.0/7) tied at No. 3, behind only CBS' penultimate episode of "Survivor."

"The Middle" (8:00-8:30 p.m. - 8.1 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49):
At 8:00 p.m., ABC's "The Middle" grew week to week in Total Viewers (+7% - 8.1 million vs. 7.6 million) to its most watched telecast since its season opener - since 9/23/15. The ABC comedy held even with the prior week in Adults 18-49 and spiked 38% in Kids 2-11 to a new season high. Season to date (11 complete weeks Most Current), "The Middle" is up in Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%).

"The Goldbergs" (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 7.0 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49):
At 8:30 p.m., ABC's "The Goldbergs" grew 8% week to week in Total Viewers (7.0 million vs. 6.5 million) and held even with Adults 18-49 (2.0/7). Season to date (11 complete weeks Most Current), "The Goldbergs" is up over the comparable weeks last season in Adults 18-49 (+3%), standing as its highest-ever fall delivery.

"Modern Family" (9:00-9:31 p.m. - 8.2 million and 2.6/9 in AD18-49):
At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Modern Family" built on its lead-in and dominated its nearest competition in the slot by 30% among Adults 18-49 (2.6/9 vs. 2.0/6 - CBS' "Criminal Minds"). "Modern Family" was up week to week in both Total Viewers (+11% - 8.2 million vs. 7.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 2.6/9 vs. 2.4/7). In addition, the show shot up 36% with Teens 12-17 to a best-since-premiere rating - since 9/23/15.

"black-ish" (9:31-10:00 p.m. - 6.0 million and 1.7/5 in AD18-49):
In the 9:30 p.m. half-hour, ABC's "black-ish" gained 11% week to week in Total Viewers (6.0 million vs. 5.4 million) and 6% in Adults 18-49 (1.7/5 vs. 1.6/5). In addition, the ABC freshman comedy was up across all key Women: W18-34 (+8%), W18-49 (+16%) and W25-54 (+16%).

"Nashville" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.1 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49):
In the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's winter finale of "Nashville" held steady week to week in Total Viewers (4.1 million vs. 4.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.8/3). Last week's telecast of "Nashville" (12/2/15) scored the series' biggest-ever L+3 playback increase, with an +89% jump over its L+SD rating - soaring from a 0.9 to a 1.7 rating among Adults 18-49. "Nashville" was easily Wednesday's largest broadcast gainer in TV playback in Adults 18-49.

Friday
ABC ranked No. 1 Friday in Adults 18-49 (1.1/4-tie), marking its 12th-straight week this season finishing straight out No. 1 on the evening or as the non-sports leader in the key young adult sales demo.

ABC aired the night's Top 2 TV shows in Adults 18-49 with "Shark Tank" (1.4/5) and "Last Man Standing" (1.3/5 - tying a season high). Trailing only "Last Man Standing," ABC's "Dr. Ken" ranked as the night's No. 2 scripted series (1.1/4 - tied w/CBS' "Blue Bloods"). "Shark Tank" was Friday's No. 1 entertainment series for its 11th-consecutive first-run airing this season. ABC's "20/20" (4.5 million) beat NBC's "Dateline" (4.1 million) for the 7th week in a row in Total Viewers to stand as Friday's most watched newsmagazine.

Saturday
With the first network television broadcast of "Mary Poppins" in 13 years on "The Wonderful World of Disney," ABC stood as the most watched network on Saturday, outdrawing runner-up CBS with holiday specials by 18% (4.7 million vs. 4.0 million). ABC was also the No. 1 broadcaster in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4-tie), across all key Women (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54) and Teens 12-17. The Disney classic grew from its first hour to its last hour by 9% in Total Viewers (4.4 million to 4.8 million) and by 25% in Adults 18-49 (0.8/3 to 1.0/4).

Sunday
"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m. - 5.3 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49):
During the 7 o'clock hour against primetime NFL overruns on CBS and Fox, ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" was up by double digits week to week in Total Viewers (+20% - 5.3 million vs. 4.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+29% - 0.9/3 vs. 0.7/2).

"Quantico" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.6 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m., ABC's winter finale of "Quantico" shot up from its lead-in (+63%) and dominated its CBS drama competition in the hour by 63% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/4 vs. 0.8/3 for "The Good Wife"/"CSI: Cyber"). The ABC freshman drama grew for the 2nd week in Total Viewers (+5% - 4.6 million vs. 4.4 million) and gained 8% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/4 vs. 1.2/4), drawing its biggest audience and matching its best young-adult rating since October - 7 weeks ago on 10/25/15.

Live + 7 Day: With the most recent week of L+7 data (for 11/29/15), "Quantico" scored its 7th-straight telecast of triple-digit L+7 growth in Adults 18-49, catapulting +125% over its L+SD rating. In fact on average in L+7, "Quantico" is the season's biggest percentage gainer on the broadcast nets, spiking 88% in Total Viewers (5.2 million to 9.8 million) and 107% in Adults 18-49 (1.5 rating to 3.1 rating) over its L+SD numbers.
