Ike Barinholtz, who plays Morgan Tookers on THE MINDY PROJECT, has an impressive comedy background. He is an alumnus of Improv Olympic, The Second City and the Annoyance Theater, and he spent two years in Amsterdam with the famed comedy troupe Boom Chicago. Barinholtz starred opposite Danny McBride as a Russian baseball pitcher on the critically acclaimed cable comedy "Eastbound & Down." He is probably best known for the incredible impressions and hilarious characters he created as a cast member on FOX's late-night sketch comedy series "MADtv." Barinholtz co-wrote the screenplay for "Central Intelligence," an upcoming comedy in development with Ed Helms attached to star. He has appeared in numerous films, including "The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend," "Love, Fear and Rabbits" and "Down." Barinholtz is a founding member of The Lindbergh Babies, an improv group directed by Del Close.

Long before Kevin Bacon launched his prolific stage and screen career, and before Michael Bacon became known as a go-to composer for film and television, they were just two brothers, born nine years apart, coming of age in Center City, Philadelphia. By the late 1960s, Michael, already a professional musician, would gig with his band at the city's famed Electric Factory, with a young Kevin tagging along when he could. It's a time preserved in the cover art for The Bacon Brothers' 2009 release, "New Year's Day," with a pre-teen Kevin singing alongside a mandolin-strumming Michael. The record, laden with the brothers' trademark gritty rock and a touch of Philly soul, hearkens back to those roots in the City of Brotherly Love, when life was less complicated and music filled the air. With 2013 marking 18 years of the Bacon Brothers band's existence, any cynical preconceptions about well-known actors "dabbling" in music now can safely be discarded. The band has gigged relentlessly in the U.S. and Europe to build up a following, and "New Year's Day" represents their sixth LP release. Currently, the band is working on several new tracks, which fans who have heard the songs live are anxiously awaiting.
