The spinoff of "The Middle" revolving around Sue Heck has gotten a title, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The spinoff will be called "Sue Sue in the City." The show went into development shortly after "The Middle" ended its nine-season run in May.
Brock Ciarlelli, who played Sue's best friend Brad Bottig, has been cast a regular on the spinoff.
Sue Sue in the City will focus on Sue as she leaves college and her hometown of Orson, Ind., for the ups and downs of a career and young adulthood in Chicago - apparently with Brad still as part of her support system.
DeAnne Heline and Eileen Heisler, who created "The Middle," are writing and executive producing the pilot through their Blackie and Blondie Productions.
The series finale of "The Middle" found Sue, in a flash-forward, going through an on-and-off relationship with neighbor Sean Donohue and eventually marrying him at some point in the future. It is unsure yet if that storyline will be followed in the new series.
