THE MENTALIST Actor Tim Kang Reveals Show's Upcoming Season 7 to Be the Last

THE MENTALIST star Tim Kang revealed on Twitter recently that the show's 7th Season would be its last. Though the series is nearing its end, Kang seemed excited for what the season ahead will bring:

This is our 7th and final season. Looking at the scripts now, it's so fun and such a great season!

The CBS show, which began in 2008, stars Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, a consultant with the CBI (California Bureau of Investigation) who possesses a remarkable skill of investigation through observation. Jane's past involves a celebrity career as a psychic medium, though he now admits that his paranormal skills were a fraud. His unique skills are valued by the investigation team, though his ignorance of protocol often has his fellow agents questioning his usefulness.

The seventh and final season for the series is scheduled for 13 episodes, and is set to begin airing mid-season, in January 2015, on CBS.
