THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT has continued its season-winning dominance through the summer heat, beating "The Tonight Show" in viewers summer-to-date by +43% (3.28m versus 2.30m) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" by +61% (3.28m versus 2.04m). THE LATE SHOW also ties its closest competitor ("The Tonight Show") in adults 18-49 (0.5) after trailing last summer.
For summer 2018 to date, THE LATE SHOW is up +4% in viewers versus last summer (3.28m from 3.17m), while maintaining last summer's numbers in adults 25-54 (0.7) and adults 18-49 (0.5), all according to Nielsen most current ratings.
For the week ending July 20 (Week #43) in live plus 3-day ratings, THE LATE SHOW (3.57m) beat "The Tonight Show" by +1.4 million viewers (versus 2.17m) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" by almost +1.7 million viewers (versus 1.89m), and tied NBC for first in adults 18-49 (0.5). THE LATE SHOW also posted its largest weekly live plus 3-day audience since the week ending April 20.
Also for last week, THE LATE SHOW amassed 60 million total views across Youtube and Facebook Watch. Highlights from the week in the digital space include Monday night's monologue, featuring Colbert's reaction to President Donald Trump's press conference alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the show's Wednesday night "Schoolhouse Rock!"-inspired cold open. Monday night's monologue was the top-performing clip for all of late night on Youtube for the week according to Tubular Labs.
