THE FAVOURITE, A STAR IS BORN Among Nominees for 2019 Gold Derby Film Awards Image

"The Favourite" was the favorite film of more than 2,500 users who voted for the 17th Annual Gold Derby Film Awards nominations. It scored 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Actress (Olivia Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz) and Best Ensemble. Scroll down to see the complete list of contenders in all 22 categories, watch our complete video announcement above, and vote for the winners right here and now.

The royal British comedy isn't alone in the double digits. "A Star is Born" is close behind with 11 nominations, five of which go to Bradley Cooper as a producer, writer, director, lead actor, and a member of the ensemble cast. Cooper previously won Gold Derby Awards as a member of the ensemble casts of "Silver Linings Playbook" (2012) and "American Hustle" (2013), but he has yet to win individual plaudits.

Next in line with nine nominations is the streaming foreign film "Roma" with nine bids, and its director Alfonso Cuaron has just as many noms as Cooper. Cuaron was cited five times, for producing, directing, writing, editing and cinematography. The filmmaker is now up to 15 total Gold Derby Award nominations. He previously earned Best Picture bids for "Pan's Labyrinth" (2006) and "Gravity" (2013), the latter of which won him awards for Best Director and Best Film Editing. "Roma" is actually the first foreign language nominee for Best Picture since "Pan's Labyrinth."

Joining those films in the Best Picture lineup are fellow Oscar contenders "BlacKkKlansman," "Black Panther" and "Green Book," plus Oscar-snubbed "Hereditary," "If Beale Street Could Talk," "A Quiet Place" and "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse." The nom for Sony's "Spider-Man" makes it the first animated nominee for Best Picture not to come from Disney or Pixar.
