ABC Tuesday Prime (8:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.5 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49): With "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" from 8:00-10:00 p.m. leading into night 2 of 2016 DNC coverage, ABC took second to an "AGT"-led NBC with Total Viewers (4.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.2/4). ABC hit a 6-week Tuesday night high in Adults 18-49 - since 6/14/16.

"The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 5.2 million and 1.4/6 in AD18-49):
Opposite NBC's "America's Got Talent" from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" special finished a strong No. 2 among Adults 18-49 (1.4/6), doubling Fox's original programming (+100% over "Hotel Hell" finale/"Coupled" = 0.7/3). In Total Viewers (5.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.4/6), "The Bachelorette" delivered 7-week highs in the 2-hour time period, representing the Net's 2nd highest numbers in the slot this summer.

"2016 Democratic Convention-TUE" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.4 million and 0.7/3 in AD18-49):
In the 10:00 p.m. hour, the second night of ABC News' 2016 Democratic Convention coverage (3.4 million, 0.7/3 and 1.0/3) led by strong margins over CBS News' convention coverage (2.5 million, 0.4/2 and 0.6/2) with Total Viewers (+36%), Adults 18-49 (+75%) and Adults 25-54 (+67%), respectively. Comparing the Fast Affiliate ratings in the hour to 4 years ago, ABC's DNC coverage was up from the comparable night in 2012 (9/4/12 = 2.6 million and 0.8/2 in AD25-54) by 31% in Total Viewers and by 25% in Adults 25-54.

Editors Please Note: DNC Coverage aired live and ran long, so the preliminary Fast Affiliate numbers are subject to greater adjustments in the National ratings this afternoon.

Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2015-16 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate Nielsen measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
