Fandango reports that superheroes are leading the field for this year's most in-demand Hollywood Halloween costumes, with "The Avengers" claiming four of the top five spots among men, according to the company's recent moviegoer survey. The nation's leading moviegoer destination polled more than 1,000 fans on the top movie-inspired Halloween costumes from both 2012 releases as well classic and iconic films. A majority of movie fans responding to the survey said they plan to dress up in a costume during Halloween week.
Among men, "The Avengers" stars handily beat out all others, with Chris Hemsworth's Thor edging out his cohorts for the top spot, followed closely by Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, Chris Evans' Captain America and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk from the same ensemble action film. Christian Bale's Batman from "The Dark Knight Rises" rounded out the top five.Anne Hathaway's Catwoman from "The Dark Knight Rises" was the clear winner among female fans, while Jennifer Lawrence's bow-and-arrow-wielding Katniss from "The Hunger Games" came in second. Kristen Stewart's Snow White and Charlize Theron's feathery Queen Ravenna from "Snow White and the Huntsman" and Scarlett Johansson's sleek Black Widow from "The Avengers" were the third, fourth and fifth vote-getters respectively among the women.Videos
