Telemundo today announced the network's Monday-Friday primetime ratings in 2015 were the highest in its history among total viewers (1.67M, +9% vs. 2014) and adults 18-49 (828K, +9% vs. last year), according to Nielsen. This year, the network gained more total viewers (+144,000), adults 18-49 (+71K) and adults 18-34 (+40K) versus the prior year than any other Spanish-language broadcast network. For the third consecutive year, TELEMUNDO's Spanish-language network share has increased among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, up +7 points vs. 2014 to 36 and 35 percent, respectively.
The new innovative programming that Telemundo has implemented delivered the smallest Monday-Friday primetime gap in network history between Telemundo and Univision among adults 18-49 (376K, reducing the gap by half, compared to 2014) and adults 18-34 (179K, reducing the gap by 52% compared to 2014).
Bolstered by the unprecedented success of the Super Series format, Telemundo ranked as the number one Spanish-language broadcast network Monday-Friday at 10pm among key adult demos, beating Univision by 10% among adults 18-49 (1.33M vs. 1.21M) and 17% among adults 18-34 (633K vs. 542K) in 2015. Among total viewers, only 349,000 viewers separate Univision from Telemundo at 10pm, the smallest gap on record and a 68% reduction compared to a year ago.
During the third season of "El Senor de los Cielos," Telemundo ranked as number one network, regardless of language, in the Monday-Friday 10-11pm time slot among adults 18-34 and number two, behind NBC, among adults 18-49.
