TBS' 2013 National League Wild Card Coverage Draws 4.6 Million Total Viewers

TBS' exclusive coverage of the 2013 National League Wild Card Game - with the Pittsburgh Pirates defeating the Cincinnati Reds 6-2 to advance to the MLB Division Series - generated 4.6 million total viewers and a 3.0 U.S. HH rating, based on Nielsen Fast Nationals. The telecast was up 15% among total viewers and U.S. HH rating when compared with last year's NL Wild Card Game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves (2.6 U.S. HH rating; 3,990,000 total viewers).

Last night's TBS telecast (8-11:32 p.m. ET) won the night across all cable networks among total viewers. The telecast peaked with a 3.5 U.S. HH rating from 9:30-9:45 p.m.

Additionally, the telecast delivered a 33.7 DMA HH rating in Pittsburgh to become the highest-rated MLB game ever on record in the market. Cincinnati, the second highest-rated local market, recorded a 16.6 rating.

TBS continues its extensive MLB Postseason coverage with the exclusive presentation of the AL Wild Card Game - the Tampa Bay Rays at Cleveland Indians - tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. The network's presentation of the MLB Division Series will begin tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 3, with a doubleheader featuring the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at 5 p.m. and the Los Angeles Dodgers visiting the Atlanta Braves at 8:30 p.m.
