As first reported on The Hollywood Reporter, Sylvester Stallone is set to star in an animated web series to be called SOUL SURVIVOR. The project will be made by Lionsgate,the studio behind The Expendables and its upcoming sequel featuring Stallone.
SOUL SURVIVOR will center on a "last-of-his kind" mercenary. While it currently does not have an online home, Lionsgate is in negotiations with Reliance to broadcast the show.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer also revealed yesterday (May 2) that the company has partnered on three additional internet TV shows, which include the Canadian drama Endgame, New Black from 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan and a third series, Bite Me.
In other Stallone news, the actor revealed to MTV that he will once again take on the role of Rambo in an upcoming sequel. The 'Rocky' star said he is working on a script which could possibly be set in Mexico. Stallone first portrayed the action star in 1982 and was featured in all three sequels which followed.
