Syfy's hit show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files set new series records as the April 20 episode became the most watched ever with 873, 000 Adults 18-49, 886,000 Adults 25-54 and 1.575 million total viewers.
Compared to last week, Fact or Faked rose 14% in Adults 18-49, 7% in Adults 25-54 and 13% for total viewers. Fact or Faked has grown week-to-week in total viewers and Adults 25-54 each week that it has aired this season.
In prime, Syfy was the #5 cable network airing entertainment programming for Adults 25-54 and #7 for Adults 18-49
There will be a "catch up" marathon featuring both seasons of the series on Sunday, April 24, from 9AM-1PM (ET/PT). The Fact or Faked series finale airs next Wednesday, April 27, at 10PM (ET/PT).
Fact or Faked's second season success follows the smash debuts of Being Human and Face Off, both of which have been renewed for sophomore seasons.
The Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files team includes former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, journalist Jael de Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu, stunt expert Austin Porter and newest member tech expert Devin Marble. Together, they review web video claiming to depict paranormal and unexplainable phenomena including ghosts, poltergeist activity, UFOs, strange creature sightings, and unknown energy anomalies. After agreeing on which cases warrant further exploration, they take to the field, employing their expertise in full investigations and recreations to dispel the hoaxes from the real and possibly paranormal.
Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is executive produced by John Brenkus and Mickey Stern for BASE Productions, and is a co-production with Universal Networks International.
