The Syfy Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon grabbed 2.2 million total viewers on Saturday, December 10, becoming the channel's second holiday-themed original movie (Zombie Apocalypse) in three months to reach that level.

From 9-11PM (ET/PT), Snowmageddon also averaged a 1.5 household rating along with 856,000 Adults 25-54.

Starring Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), David Cubitt (Medium) and Magda Apanowicz (Caprica), the Christmas-themed Snowmageddon was about a mystical snow globe that makes very bad things happen in the real world when it is shaken. The movie was a production of Cinetel.

Halloween's Zombie Apocalypse, the first film in Syfy's new slate of holiday-oriented movies, became the most watched Saturday Original Movie of the year among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 during its October 29 premiere, while averaging 2.1 million total viewers.

Following Snowmageddon, Syfy's next holiday movie will be a St. Patrick's Day-themed Leprechaun movie, debuting on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17, 2012.
