Sundance Selects has officially picked up the Latin and North American rights to Alexandre Moors' BLUE CAPRICE, the studio announced today.

The film, Moors' directorial debut, follows an abandoned boy who is drawn to America and lured into the shadow of a dangerous father figure. The film is inspired by the real life events that led to the 2002 Beltway sniper attacks. The film originally premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

Written by R.F.I. Porto and Moors, BLUE CAPRICE stars Isaiah Washington, Tequan Richmond, Joey Lauren Adams, Tim Blake Nelson, Cassandra Freeman, and Leo Fitzpatrick.

"Alexandre Moors has made one of the most distinct and haunting American independent films of the year featuring unforgettable performances by Isaiah Washington and Tequan Richmond," president of Sundance Selects/IFC Films, Jonathan Sehring, said today. "We're thrilled to be able to release this and look forward to working with the producers and Cinetic to make this a big success."
