Summer Glau has landed herself a major recurring role on the second season of The CW's ARROW, it was announced today.
Glau is set to take on the role of Isabel Rochev, VP of Acquisitions for Stellmoor International, a mega-corporation with the intent to take over Queen Consolidated. The actress will first appear in the season opener on Oct. 9.
Arrow will return to The CW this fall on Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m., with Stephen Amell as Starling City's vigilante archer.
The series stars Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance. It was also announced earlier this year that newcomer Colton Haynes, who plays Roy Harper, would be bumped up to a series regular for the show's sophomore outing.
Based on characters appearing in comic books and graphic novels published by DC Comics, Arrow is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti ("Green Lantern," "Brothers & Sisters"), Marc Guggenheim ("FlashForward," "Eli Stone"), Andrew Kreisberg ("Warehouse 13," "The Vampire Diaries") and David Nutter ("Smallville," "Supernatural," "Game of Thrones"). Melissa Kellner Berman ("Eli Stone," "Dirty Sexy Money") is co-executive producer. The pilot was directed by David Nutter from a teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim, story by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim.
Glau has appeared on TV in such shows as Firefly, The Unit, The 4400, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Cape, Dollhouse, and Grey's Anatomy.
