Billboard.com reports that following its massive $60.2 million debut weekend, N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton is expected to land in the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend as well, beating out a trio of newcomers.

Universal and Legendary's hit music film should earn around $30 million in its second week in North American theaters. The buzzy biopic, benefiting from a strong marketing campaign and word-of-mouth, is playing in more than 3,000 theaters this weekend (it debuted in 2,757 locations), having added screens to meet exhibitor demand, and that could also help it continue to exceed expectations during its second weekend.

Straight Outta Compton is a 2015 American biographical drama film directed by F. Gary Gray. The film revolves around the rise and fall of the Compton, California hip hop group N.W.A and borrows its title from the name of their 1988 debut studio album. Depicted in its cast are rappers Ice Cube (O'Shea Jackson, Jr.), Dr. Dre (Corey Hawkins), Eazy-E (Jason Mitchell), and manager Jerry Heller (Paul Giamatti). The film was released on August 14, 2015 and received highly positive reviews from fans and critics
