BEHIND THE CANDELABRA's Steven Soderbergh takes home the Emmy for OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A MINISERIES, MOVIE OR A DRAMATIC SPECIAL.

Also nominated in the category were Julian Jarrold (The Girl), David Mamet (Phil Spector), Allison Anders (Ring of Fire), Jane Campion and Gerard Lee (Top of the Lake).

Read his acceptance speech below.

STEVEN SODERBERGH: I hope all of the people that deserve to be thanked will understand if I say that no matter what we all did and no matter how well we did it and no matter how much support we got, if Michael and Matt don't show up with those performances, we don't have a movie. So, gentlemen, I thank you most of all. Salud.
