Steve Carell Set to Star in CONVICTION

As first reported on Deadline.com, actor Steve Carell is set to star in and produce the upcoming film CONVICTION. The script for the film was penned by Jonathan Herman and follows a bank robber who is put in prison after a heist job gone bad. The convict is forced by an FBI agent to participate in a scheme to entrap another conman before he pulls off a multimillion dollar heist job.

While the original script was more of a serious drama, it took a comedic twist in its plot line now that Carell is attached. The film will be produced by Carell along with Joel Silver and Silver Pictures head Andrew Rona. Silver Pictures' Alex Heineman will be executive producer along with Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock.
