On last night's COLBERT REPORT on Comedy Central, comedian Stephen Colbert took full credit for candidate Jon Huntsman's withdrawal from the Presidential race, claiming he drove the Utah Governor out of the race just by suggesting that he may become a candidate.

In a recent poll taken in South Carolina, Huntsman was shown losing to Colbert, despite the fact that the comedian's name was not even on the ballot. The poll's results led Colbert to form an exploratory committe for a possible run for "president of the United States of South Carolina." On Monday, candidate Huntsman abandoned his run for President.

On last night's 'Colbert Report', the South Carolina native commented, “Folks, do you see what’s happened here? The mere possibility that I might run for president blew Jon Huntsman all the way back to the Lands’ End catalog he came from! Again, that’s just from me exploring the idea of running. Can you imagine what it would do to the field if I, Stephen T. Colbert, looked into the camera right now and officially announced?” Added Colbert, "But I'm not."

Colbert's mission is to expose the troubling issues related to the current system of so-called 'Super PAC' campaign funding.
