Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced a summer lineup of key acquisitions full of powerful cinematic tales and stellar performances from "Power" star Omari Hardwick in A Boy. A Girl. A Dream to Richard Gere in "MotherFatherSon," among others.
A Sundance Film Festival Selection, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream starring Omari Hardwick (STARZ Original series "Power) and Meagan Good (Think Like a Man) will premiere exclusively on Starz on Tuesday, August 6 at 9 PM ET/PT. The film follows Cass (Hardwick), an L.A. club promoter and Frida (Good), a Midwestern visitor, on a thrilling and emotional journey on the night of the 2016 Presidential election. She challenges him to revisit his broken dreams, while he pushes her to discover hers. Then. on Sunday, August 25, Hardwick returns to his role as James "Ghost" St. Patrick in the all-new super-sized, 15-episode sixth season of "Power" on STARZ, the Starz app and Starz ON DEMAND.
Starz also acquired the eight-part drama series created by Tom Rob Smith (American Crime Story, London Spy), "MotherFatherSon" starring Richard Gere (Chicago, Pretty Woman) and Helen McCrory (Peaky Blinders, The Queen), distributed by BBC Studios, as well as Out of Omaha from hip-hop recording artist J. Cole. Cole serves as executive producer on the documentary about two brothers' journey to adulthood in the racially and economically divided town of Omaha, Nebraska.
Other titles that will debut this summer include The Great Mother aka "La Gran Madre" and Kleptocrats documentaries, as well as feature film Drunk Parents, starring Alec Baldwin (It's Complicated) and Salma Hayek (The Hitman's Bodyguard).
All of these titles will be available for download or streaming via the Starz app, which offers subscribers access to more than 7,500 selections including Starz Originals "Vida," "The Spanish Princess," "Outlander" and "Power," among other movies and television series.

Out of Omaha is an intimate portrait of twin brothers Darcell and Darrell Trotter, two young black men coming of age in the racially and economically-divided Midwestern city of Omaha, Nebraska. Director Clay Tweel (Gleason, Finders Keepers, The Innocent Man) met the Trotters when they were 17 and filmed them over a period of eight years. By intimately portraying the twins' hopes and struggles - and the love and help they give and get along the way - the film examines how much it takes to overcome disadvantages rooted in historic injustice.
