According to Deadline, the previously rumored Boba Fett Star Wars spin-off film is no longer in development by Disney.

According to a Tweet from Critics Choice Association journalist Erick Weber, Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy told him at a Black Panther awards reception that the Boba Fett movie was "100% dead," and that the priority is the series, The Mandalorian.

Deadline reports that James Mangold is no longer attached to direct or write a Boba Fett feature, and he is currently in post on 20th Century Fox's Ford v. Ferrari starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon, due out June 28.

According to ComingSoon.net, Boba Fett, a bounty hunter, first appeared in Star Wars: Episode V: The EMPIRE Strikes Back originally (before "The Special Edition" of A New Hope gave him an earlier appearance) as one of the BOUNTY HUNTERS hired by the EMPIRE to find the Millennium Falcon. He quickly became a fan favorite.
