Star Jones, one of the five original co-hosts of ABC's Emmy® Award-winning talk show THE VIEW will make her first guest appearance, live, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET). Jones last appeared on June 27, 2006 when she announced nationally, while grabbing hold of Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck's hands, that "after much prayer and counsel" she would not be returning to the program.

Jones joins the hosts in a joint effort to raise awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of women, and to discuss her involvement with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement.

More women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined. Heart disease is often silent, hidden and misunderstood. In honor of National Wear Red Day on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, Walters, Goldberg, Behar, Hasselbeck and Shepherd will wear red to show their support in the fight against heart disease in women.

In March, 2010, Jones underwent successful open heart surgery to repair a malfunctioning heart valve related to a rarely-performed surgery she'd had after developing a thoracic tumor three decades earlier. Two months later, Walters announced on "The View" that she would undergo open heart surgery to replace a faulty heart valve. Walters returned full-time to "The View" on September 7, 2010, having made a brief appearance via Skype©, her first nationally televised appearance (post surgery) and one exclusive in-studio appearance for President Barack Obama's historic visit to "The View" on July 8.

THE VIEW a live, one-hour daily talk show from Time Square Studios, features Daytime Emmy Award-winning hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. It's the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations.
