NOISES OFF star Andrea Martin is headed back to the small screen! Deadline writes that she will star opposite Kimrie Lewis-Davis in a new NBC comedy written by Tracey Wigfield (30 ROCK, THE MINDY PROJECT). Adam Campbell is also in the cast.

The untitled comedy "centers on an already inseparable mother-daughter relationship that becomes more complicated when mom Carol (Martin) accepts an internship at her daughter's workplace, a news program where daughter Katie is a segment producer. Carol is a well-meaning, overly-chatty, upbeat but bored mom who never went to college and gave up her career to raise her now-adult children. Galvanized by an inspirational eulogy at a friend's funeral, Carol decides to follow her dream of having a big career and lands an internship at her daughter's newsroom where she wins kudos for her honesty."

Lewis-Davis will take on the role of 'Portia', described as "the dingbat co-host on the show, a breezy, demanding, clueless woman whose inane story ideas are given the green light."

Wigfield is executive producing with Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and David Miner.

Two-time Tony winner Andrea Martin, currently starring on Broadway in Roundabout's NOISES OFF, will soon be seen on the big screen in MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 2. Among her recent TV credits are MODERN FAMILY, DIFFICULT PEOPLE and WORKING THE ENGELS. She has also graced the Great White Way in PIPPIN (and on tour), ACT ONE, EXIT THE KING, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, FUNNY GIRL, OKLAHOMA!, CANDIDE and MY FAVORITE YEAR.
