Stage Network's original series Studio Sessions has won the Gold World Medal Award for its pilot episode Session One: John Kander at the 2019 New York Festivals® International TV & Film Awards in the digital entertainment short-form category.

"We're thrilled and honored to win this award for Studio Sessions- not only because its our first original program at STAGE but especially because it pays homage to one of Broadway's absolute best, the legendary John Kander." said Rich Affannato, Chairman, CEO & co-founder of STAGE, who also serves as the Supervising Producer of the series. "This is an honor on so many levels and I'm excited to share this award with Michael Croiter, the creator and executive producer of Studio Sessions. The best part is that we have more coming. We can't wait to reveal who our next composer will be for Session Two. I can't give away the secret yet, but his music continues to defy gravity after all these years".

The New York Festivals International TV& Film Awards were given out last night in a gala ceremony at theNational Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas, NV.
