Great American Country announced today the addition of Nashville-based entertainment journalist Stacy McCloud to the hosting and reporting team for Headline Country, the network's weekly news magazine now in its sixth season. McCloud debuts on the series beginning Thursday, Jan. 9.
"I am thrilled and honored to join both the Great American Country team and our show Headline Country," McCloud said. "What Storme and the team have built is an amazing, fun series. I hope that I can contribute to that fun going forward!" "Our goal with Headline Country is to take viewers deeper into the world of country music than they've ever been - to go behind the curtain to bring our audience access to the music and artists they love," said SuzAnne Gordon, Vice president of programming for Great American Country. "With so much happening in country music and so much to cover, we're excited to welcome Stacy and to expand the Headline Country family." As an entertainment journalist in Nashville for the past five years, McCloud has reported on film and TV premieres, the CMA Awards and American Country Awards, the Bonnaroo music festival and other live events. Her celebrity interviews with stars of film, television and music include Kevin Bacon, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Zooey Deschanel, and Jeremy Piven, plus country artists Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and others. McCloud conducted the final TV interview with country legend George Jones. Prior to reporting in Nashville, McCloud held a variety of newsroom positions, including photographer, producer, features reporter, general assignment reporter, health reporter and anchor.Videos
