Sprout, the first 24-hour preschool network, has acquired its newest animated series, Earth to Luna!, from TV PinGuim, Brazil's leading animation company. The animated Science series will air exclusively in the U.S. on Sprout and will make its premiere tonight, August 16, 2014.
Earth to Luna! follows the adventures of a little girl who's completely, undeniably and passionately into just one thing: science. For Luna, a six-year-old girl, the earth is a giant laboratory and she dives into every new experience with
Boundless energy and enthusiasm along with her little brother Jupiter and pet ferret Clive. What most of us ignore, Luna notices and cannot rest until she is able to answer the question, "Why is this happening?" There is nothing Luna won't do to find the answers to her scientific questions.
"Sprout is committed to creating and acquiring the best content for preschoolers and their families," said Andrew Beecham, Senior
Vice President, Programming, Sprout. "Each episode of Earth to Luna! explores the impact that
Science has on our world, and Luna, in her curious way, pursues answers to scientific questions that viewers will relate to and enjoy."
TV PinGuim's Creative Director, Celia Catunda said, "We're so excited that Luna is taking her passion for
Science and whimsical songs about the world to the U.S.
Sprout is renowned for its high quality, distinctive preschool shows and we're delighted that Earth To Luna! is going to air alongside the other well-known favorites in their schedule."
