For the second consecutive quarter, Sprout, the 24-hour preschool network, recorded the highest composition of Women 18-49 among total viewers, beating Nick Jr., Disney Jr., The Hub, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, Disney XD, and Nicktoons. With 23 percent of its total audience coming from the key Women 18-49 demographic, Sprout topped all kids' cable networks.

Sprout experienced an 18 percent growth in the Women 18-49 category compared to the same quarter last year (33,000 vs. 28,000), which marked the seventh consecutive quarter of year-over-year double digit percentage growth. The network's Women 18-49 audience grew 10 percent compared to June 2012 (33,000 vs. 30,000) marking the 20th consecutive month of year-over-year growth in the demographic, which is the longest current streak among all cable networks.

"Sprout's growth story, especially within the crucial Women 18-49 group, underscores our commitment to co-viewing and co-doing," said Sandy Wax, president of Sprout. "This intrinsic connection with our viewers is not only essential to our success, but it also informs Sprout's direction as a leading children's network as we continue to develop more original content."

The third season of LazyTown, the high energy series that encourages kids to move, launched on May 27 and drew an 18 percent delivery increase in Kids 2-5 (47,000 vs. 40,000), and an 11 percent increase in Women 18-49 (31,000 vs. 28,000).

Sprout has also been growing its online presence with nearly 297,000 Facebook Likes and more than 11,000 Instagram followers. Additionally, SproutOnline.com launched several new mobile apps during the second quarter, including Chica's Silly Songs and Pajanimals Play Time. Both apps have received more than 25,000 downloads since launching in April.
