Sprout®, the first 24-hour preschool network, will launch its first pop-up store at The Market & Shops at Comcast Center in Philadelphia. The store will open for business at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, and will be open every Saturday throughout the month of December, offering a selection of products featuring popular original Sprout characters Chica and Star.
Sprout will also host special Saturday performances during the month of December at the bottom of each hour between 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The shows will include Chica and feature a different host from Sprout's live daily morning block The Sunny Side Up Show.
Visitors attending The Comcast Holiday Spectacular in the lobby of Comcast Center are invited to head downstairs to The Market & Shops to view the Sprout performances and visit the shop before or after the show. The Comcast Holiday Spectacular, a unique and family-friendly holiday tradition has entertained close to a million people since its 2008 debut. The free 15-minute show is presented daily at the top of each hour 10:00 a.m. - 8 p.m. (The show is not presented weekdays at 5:00 p.m.).
Earlier this year, Sprout announced expansion plans for its consumer products program in conjunction with Big Tent Entertainment and CaféPress. ShopSprout.com launched in February 2013 and currently offers a variety of products from Sprout series, including The Chica Show, Pajanimals, The Good Night Show, Caillou, LazyTown, Wibbly Pig and more.
