The Hollywood Reporter has reported on some trouble for Ben Affleck's Batman franchise.
According to a source the film studio is currently working out a strategy to usher Affleck's Batman out "gracefully." The source also hinted that the change may take place in an upcoming DC film.
It was reported that Affleck has already backed out of directing duties on the upcoming sequel, The Batman. Matt Reeves will now helm the project, but will forego a screenplay that Affleck wrote with D.C.'s, Geoff Johns.
Despite Reeves and studio chief, Toby Emmerich's insistence that Affleck will remain in the role, sources claim that things aren't looking up for Ben's take on the Caped Crusader.
Emmerich tells The Hollywood Reporter, "Ben is our Batman. We love him as Batman. We want to keep him in the cowl as long as we can."
