A blockbuster match between the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy will decide the winner of the 2014 Supporter's Shield (most regular-season points in MLS) this Saturday, Oct. 25, at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC. For the first time in MLS history, the two teams in the race for the Supporters' Shield will face each other in their final regular season game.
With an edge in the standings through the first tie-breaker (total wins), the Seattle Sounders, led by U.S. Men's National Team forward Clint Dempsey, need to win or draw against the LA Galaxy to claim the Supporter's Shield, while the Galaxy need to pull off a win. Saturday will be LA Galaxy forward Landon Donovan's last regular-season match with the team before his retirement.
