Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) announced today that the Playstation Original series Powers, produced by Sony Pictures Television, will continue with a second season of the series slated for release in the US in 2016.

Inspired by the graphic novels of the same name, Powers, an edgy, dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim. Walker and Pilgrim are assigned to investigate cases involving people with extraordinary abilities, referred to as "Powers." Season two will continue to follow the detectives and the
POWERS Division team as they go up against commercialized, superhumans who impose their power on the public, which both worships and fears them.
Powers is produced Jinxworld and Circle of Confusion in associations with Sony Pictures Television. Charlie Huston, Remi Aubuchon, Brian Michael Bendis, Michael Avon Oeming, David Engel, Lawrence Mattis, David Alpert and Frank Frattaroli serve as executive producers.
