Dusty Dreams Productions announces it has attached Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy, Sin City, Gladiator) for the role of the father in its upcoming feature "Light Wounds", based on the true story of a young veteran's battle with schizophrenia.

Flanagan will portray Tom Porter in the biopic, which chronicles the life of a young veteran, Clifton Porter, as he returns from the military in 2008 to help take care of his mother during her battle with ovarian cancer. As Clifton works to adjust to civilian life and make a better life for him and his family, he experiences the onset of schizophrenia with the ensuing mental and emotional demise. The crisis exposes the deep tensions within the family, as they all struggle to face Clifton's hardest battle.

easycinema distribution has acquired all Italian distribution rights for the film and will release the film throughout its over-180-theater network including (but not limited to) Multiplex, Uci Cinemas and easycinema theaters.

Directed by the award-winning Italian director Max Leonida, with Terry Serpico ("Army Wives", "Donnie Brasco") attached as the Campus Veteran's Affairs Officer, negotiations continue for the roles of the mother and grandmother.

This is Leonida's eighth feature film and third U.S. feature since moving from Italy in 2009. He most recently directed "Beauty in the Broken", starring Briana Cuoco and Lisa Marie, and in 2009, directed the award-winning feature film, "Backward", a 63rd Cannes Film Festival selection.

"Light Wounds" is written by director Max Leonida, Jonathan LOOPER and Vadim Dardagani,
