Snowboard Slopestyle Among Tonight's OLYMPICS Coverage on NBC

Be sure to tune-in tonight at 8pm EST, when NBC begins its coverage of the Olympics one day prior to the Opening Ceremony with new event, Snowboard Slopestyle! The fun doesn't stop there- catch the 2014 Opening Ceremony Friday at 7:30pm EST, where the US team will be led by flag bearer, Todd Lodwick!

Below, check out the full list of events coming up on NBC:

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6 (DAY -1)

8 p.m. - 11 p.m (EST)
Figure Skating - Team Event
Men's Short Program
Pairs' Short Program
Men's Snowboarding - Slopestyle Competition
Women's Snowboarding - Slopestyle Competition
Women's Freestyle Skiing - Moguls Competition

· For the first time in Olympic history, figure skaters of all four disciplines (men, ladies, pairs and ice dancing) compete in a team format, representing the 10 countries with the strongest all-around squads.

In Snowboarding, men and women will compete in new Olympic event, slopestyle, in which riders perform tricks and high-flying jumps over a downhill course, promising to bring to the Games the same excitement that has characterized snowboard halfpipe. The men's event will feature a trio of high-flying Canadians, including 20-year-old phenom Mark McMorris and for the women, 23-year-old American Jamie Anderson is favored to win the event's first Olympic gold.
Reigning Olympic moguls champion and 2013 World Cup title winner, Hannah Kearney, begins her attempt to become her sport's first repeat champion. She'll be joined by a strong American squad, including Vancouver Olympian teammate Heather McPhie.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (DAY 0)

7:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Opening Ceremony

· The Opening Ceremony will feature a compelling journey through Russia's history and culture and the Parade of Nations, culminating with the lighting of the Olympic flame.

Nordic combined skier Todd Lodwick, who will be competing in a US record six Winter Olympics, will lead the United States team as its flag bearer during Friday's opening ceremony.

Having won two out of the last three World Championships crowns, American Ice Dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White look to up their 2010 Vancouver silver medal and take gold in Sochi!
