Sneak Peek - Starz to Premiere New Series SURVIVOR'S REMORSE, 10/4

Starz brings you an insider's look at the life of a top professional basketball player - off the court - in the premiere episode of its half hour comedy "Survivor's Remorse" this Saturday, October 4 at 9pm ET/PT. Check out the latest trailer, an in-depth look at the vivacious Calloway family, and a special look at Cam's Uncle Julius, brought to life by the one and only Mike Epps.

About "Survivor's Remorse"

Set in Atlanta, "Survivor's Remorse" follows Cam Calloway, a basketball phenom in his early 20's who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multi-million dollar contract with a professional basketball team, and explores the comedy and drama of an experience that everyone reads about, but few understand - what happens when you "make it out."

Cam Calloway, along with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn, move to Georgia to start Cam's journey to success. The two confront the challenges of carrying opportunistic family members and their strong ties to the impoverished community that they come from. Cam, Reggie and an unforgettable group of characters wrestle with the rewards and pitfalls of stardom, love and loyalty.

The cast is led by JESSIE T. Usher ("Level Up") in the role of Cam Calloway, Ronreaco Lee (Glory, "Let's Stay Together") as Reggie Vaughn, Erica Ash (Scary Movie 5, "The Real Husbands of Hollywood") as M-Chuck, the sister of Cam Calloway, and Tichina Arnold ("Martin," "Everybody Hates Chris") as Cassie, Cam's mother. They join Teyonah Parris ("Mad Men," Dear White People) as Reggie's wife Missy and Mike Epps ("Being Mary Jane," The Hangover, the Friday franchise) as Cam's Uncle Julius.

Cam Calloway, star basketball player, is signed to the Atlanta team. Announcing his arrival at a press conference, he is embraced by the city with open arms. Followed by his family - sister, mother, cousin and wife and uncle - this entourage is already proving to be somewhat of a liability. Back in his hometown of Boston, some are also ready to cash in on his success.

As the family attends an Atlanta charity gala benefitting an abused child, Cassie overshares information about Cam's upbringing ON THE RED CARPET that has huge implications. Owner Jimmy Flaherty and Reggie do their best to contain the crisis. Uncle Julius takes on a new role as a 'talent scout' for Cam. Cam realizes the implications of his mother's public blunder.
