According to Deadline, Snapchat series PHONE SWAP is moving from its mobile environment to television. FOX signed a deal today to have the reality show, currently on Snapchat, to air on the network this summer. Read more about the news from Deadline here!
The series involves individuals having the chance to trade phones with a stranger and look through it before deciding if they want to go on a date with them. Each half hour episode airs twice a week on Snapchat, where it is currently on its second season.
tephen Brown, EVP Development for FOX Television Stations, says in a statement: "Dating formats have been absent from the Syndicated lineup for a number of years. Phone Swap, with its creative, fun twist, is a program that we think will resonate with our viewers and re-ignite the genre."
