Simon Haycock makes his debut as Olivier in Philippe Audi-Dor's exciting new film Wasp. The film is an award-winning British drama that has been selected by several film festivals and made its UK premiere at the Raindance Film Festival. Along with Haycock, the film stars Hugo Bolton as James, and Elly Condron as Caroline.
Olivier and James are a couple on a romantic break in the south of France. They invite Caroline along at the very last minute. Caroline is an old friend James has lost touch with who has recently been dumped. Olivier grows slowly intrigued by Caroline, who he can't help but notice. She enjoys his attention and starts to play along. The tension rises, until it finally sizzles to a boiling point. James, meanwhile, begins to have his doubts...
Simon Haycock graduated from the Drama Centre and has already been praised for his outstanding work as Olivier in his debut film Wasp. He is now shooting the Sci-Fi / action feature Kaleidoscope Man opposite 80's pop star, Toyah Willcox.

MERLIN Merton through Blue Shadows Films, which are now going into production on Butterfly Kisses, developed through the BBC and Film London Microwave scheme. Debut writer/director Philippe Audi-Dor began filming Wasp just 4 months after graduating with an MA in Film Directing from Drama Centre London.
Alongside Raindance, Wasp has been selected for the Boston LGBT Film Festival, Beirut International Film Festival and LlamaleH Uruguay International Film Festival. The film won Best International Feature and Best Actress at FilmOut San Diego. It' was released on DVD in September and is now available on Netflix.
