Simon Cowell & Ricky Martin's LA BANDA Opens Auditions Via Social Media

Following the recent announcement of superstar Ricky Martin as an executive producer and judge on "La Banda", Univision, Syco Entertainment, Sony Music Latin America and FremantleMedia Latin AMERICA NOW announce they have opened "La Banda" auditions via social media.

Aspiring male singers age 14 and older can now submit videos through social media sites (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Vine) using the hashtag #AudicionesLaBanda to enter themselves for "La Banda." Contestants can also post Youtube links of their videos to these social media sites using the same hashtag.

La Banda producers and Sony Music A&R experts will then review the videos and send personal invitations for selected entrants to jump to the front of the line at one of the upcoming in-person auditions across the country for a chance to be a part of "La Banda." Producers are accepting social auditions entries until April 10th. (All entry videos must be posted publicly)

"La Banda," which airs this fall on Univision, aims to put together the world's ultimate Latino boy band through the largest Latin talent search in U.S. TV history. The contestants will compete for a spot in "La Banda" and a recording contract with Sony Music Latin, home to the most prolific Latin artists, and Syco Music, the label that created the world biggest selling boy band - One Direction.

The cross-country search for the ultimate Latino boy band begins in Los Angeles on March 7, 2015. From there, the search will continue to Puerto Rico, Houston, New York, Chicago, and Miami. Auditions and Registration can already open online through www.labandaoficial.com
