Silver State Film Festival is an event organized to celebrate independent films and filmmakers from all parts of the world, highlighting local and international filmmakers and promoting the entertainment industry as a whole. The maiden edition of the event is scheduled to be held at the Orleans Hotel and Casino from September 6 to 9 with events starting on the 5th. The Festival will be screening over 150 independent films.
The independent film industry has produced several talents over the years, helping the growth of the entertainment industry worldwide. Unfortunately, this part of the film industry has not gotten the exposure and accolades it deserves. This is where the Silver State Film Festival is looking to make a huge difference by giving a platform to independent filmmakers and other such stakeholders to showcase their creativity and reach a wider audience. The 2018 edition will be held in Las Vegas at the Century 18 Movie Theater (part of the Cinemark film theater chain) at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. The film festival will feature films from across the globe, with a special emphasis on filmmakers from Vegas, Nevada, and the Western US States. Festival programmer Peter Greene also wants everyone to know that the Silver State Film Festival will be screening some great short films from around the world throughout the festival including films from local college students from UNLV and Nevada State University, as well as a special Saturday night shorts block at 9:30 PM.Videos
