The highest-rated freshman series in Showtime history, RAY DONOVAN: THE FIRST SEASON will be released simultaneously on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Target Ticket, Sony Entertainment Network and Verizon FiOS today. Season one of Ray Donovan will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 10, in time to catch-up before the broadcast premiere of the second season, which returns to Showtime on Sunday, July 13th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous,
Ray Donovan stars Golden Globe Award nominee Liev Schreiber as LA's best professional fixer, the man called in to make the city's celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls' most complicated and combustible situations go away. As the season unfolds, Ray seeks balance between the demands of his family, including his fractured and volatile relationship with his father, Mickey (Golden Globe Award Winner Jon Voight), and the demands of his Hollywood clients. The cast also includes Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, Devon Bagby and special guest star Elliott Gould.
Ray Donovan is the first freshman series on
Showtime to average over five million viewers per week, with 5.7 million weekly viewers in its first season. The series is created and executive produced by Ann Biderman. Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff serve as executive producers.
