Showtime Networks Elevates Tom Christie to Chief Operating Officer

Veteran Showtime Networks executive Tom Christie has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer, Showtime Networks Inc. With over 25 years of service at the Company, Christie will continue to lead Showtime Networks' distribution, sales, affiliate marketing, network operations and new business development teams, and the SHOWTIME® streaming service product group. Additionally, Christie will continue to have oversight of the planning and execution of future strategies and new business ventures. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc., to whom he reports.

"Tom is an executive of the highest caliber and is one of our key strategic leaders," said Nevins. "He is central to driving our long term growth as we continue to expand onto new platforms, and we're thrilled that he will be stepping up his role at Showtime Networks."

Christie previously served as President, Distribution, Business Development and Network Operations. Under his leadership, Showtime Networks has grown subscribers by 70 percent in the past decade to currently boast over 23 million subscribers through cable, DBS and telco providers. With this oversight, SNI launched a new stand-alone streaming service last year, which is now available through Amazon, Apple®, Google and Roku, as well as through Hulu, Sony Playstation Vue and Amazon Prime Video. Since its launch, the service has grown consistently, more than doubling streaming subscribers since the fall.

Christie previously served as Executive Vice President, Sales and Affiliate Marketing for Sundance Channel, and Vice President of National Accounts, Western Region for Showtime Networks. Christie holds an A.B. from Princeton University, and an M.B.A. from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
