Shia LaBeouf seems to be continuing on his crusade to "retire from all public life". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor just dropped out of the film ROCK THE KASBAH, directed by Barry Levinson.

KASBAH follows "a has-been rock manager who takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan. When he finds himself in Kabul, abandoned, penniless and without his passport, he discovers a young girl with an extraordinary voice and manages her through Afghanistan's version of American Idol, the wildly popular Afghan Star".

The starry cast features Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson and Danny McBride.

LaBeouf would have played one half of a military duo opposite McBride.

Despite his recent attitude toward fame, LaBeouf's decision to exit the project was reportedly an amicable agreement.

LaBeouf will next be seen on the big screen in Fury alongside Brad Pitt. Other recent film credits include Nymphomaniac: Vol. 1 & II, Charlie Countryman, The Company You Keep, Lawless, the Transformers movies, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and more.
