Colorado Springs, CO Celebrities including Linda Blair (WorldHeart Foundation), Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul), William B. Davis (The X-Files), Laurel Harris (Odd Thomas), LeGrande Green (Emmy-winning producer for Oprah Winfrey), Mark Meer ( Mass Effect Trilogy), and musician Danielle Ate the Sandwich are calling on their followers and anyone concerned about ANIMAL welfare to be a part of a ground-breaking documentary.

A Voice for Lil Olive from award-winning director Pete Schuermann (of HAZE, featuring Robin Wright), will tell the heartwarming story of a special bond between a family and its puppy mill rescue dog, Facebook sensation Lil Olive, as well as stories from pet owners, celebrities, vets, and rescuers to bring attention to ending puppy mills around the globe.

"The topic of puppy mills is not new to audiences, but our approach to exposing this topic is unlike any documentary of its sort. We know that thousands of dogs endure torture in silence and our team is standing up to be a voice for all of those who cannot speak. This film will illustrate the indomitable spirit of a tiny Italian Greyhound and the inspiring bond that developed between her and her adopter Pam Horton, but we hope it will be viewed for years to come as the definitive documentary on puppy mills and those who are fighting to put an end to them," says Schuermann of Shelter Island Films.

The Indiegogo campaign is attracting the attention of more celebrities and businesses daily and the filmmakers hope to reach their target by THE MARCH 31st deadline.

"This is a chance for every dog lover, owner, rescuer, and activist to have their say and tell a great story with an award-winning professional film crew. We are passionate about this subject and we are eager to reach out to ANIMAL lovers everywhere," says Schuermann.
