Shawn Doyle ("Fargo") has been set as a recurring guest star in USA Network's globe-trotting hit espionage series, COVERT AFFAIRS, which is currently in its fifth season and airs Tuesdays at 10/9c. Previously announced guest stars include Amy Jo Johnson ("Flashpoint"), Michael A. Goorjian ("Party of Five"), Perrey Reeves ("Entourage"), Max Martini ("Captain Phillips"), Nazneen Contractor ("Star Trek Into Darkness") and Lynn Collins ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine").

Doyle will star as Aleksandre Belenko, a Georgian diplomat educated in the U.S. and celebrated for his work with charitable organizations worldwide. Despite his reputation as a charismatic humanitarian, Annie (Golden Globe(R)-nominated actress Piper Perabo) senses Belenko may have more sinister intentions.

Doyle has quickly become a familiar face to audiences with his critically acclaimed performances on both the big and small screen. He is perhaps best known for his role on the television series "Big Love," but has appeared in guest starring and recurring roles in hit series such as "Fargo," "Vegas," "Desperate Housewives," "Medium," "Lie to Me," "24" and "Lost." In 2013, Doyle received a Gemini Award for his role in the television movie event, "John Q." In film, Doyle starred in and produced the independent film, "Grown Up Movie Star." Additional film credits include "Sabah," "The Majestic," "Don't Say A Word," "Cletis Tout," "Frequency," "Knockaround Guys," "Long Kiss Goodnight" and "Papertrail." Doyle is represented by The Characters Talent Agency, Magnolia Entertainment and Kohner Agency.

COVERT AFFAIRS also stars Christopher Gorham ("Ugly Betty"), Peter Gallagher ("The O.C."), Kari Matchett ("Invasion"), Hill Harper ("CSI: NY") and Nic Bishop ("Body of Proof").

Season five of the series picks up after CIA operative Annie fakes her death, alters her identity and goes deep undercover in the streets of Hong Kong to defeat her most cunning opponent, Henry Wilcox (guest star Gregory Itzin). The new season examines the price Annie will have to pay for this risky maneuver and the implications it will have on her relationships - both personally and professionally - as she attempts to re-emerge into the world she once knew while concealing her secrets from her time off the grid.

From Universal Cable Productions, Covert Affairs was created, written and executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, and is executive produced by Doug Liman (SUITS, the "Bourne" trilogy, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"), David Bartis (SUITS, "The O.C.") and Gene Klein (SUITS) through Hypnotic. Stephen Kay ("Sons of Anarchy"), Sean Ryerson ("Bait," "Beyond Rangoon"), Stephen Hootstein ("What About Brian") and Henry Alonso Myers ("Ugly Betty," "Chuck") also serve as executive producers. The series shoots in Toronto.
