A revival of American Gladiators, the popular physical competition show that pits everyday people against famous athletes through an obstacle course is being shopped around by MGM, according to Deadline.
The producer of the original American Gladiators ,John Ferraro, is involved along with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who are expected to serve as executive producers.
The original American Gladiator ran for almost seven years from 1989 to 1996 in syndication. American Gladiators was revived once before in 2008 with Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali as hosts.
The American Gladiators series was a successful Syndication show, that had high ratings and spin-offs. MGM is reportedly talking to distributors who are interested in the revival.
