The series premiere of AMC's "The Making of The Mob: New York" on June 15th delivered 1.7 million total viewers and 767,000 adults 25-54 in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing. When including the two premiere night encores, the first episode of this eight-part docu-series drew a total of 2.9 million viewers, 1.2 million adults 25-54 and 1.0 million adults 18-49 in live+3 ratings.

"While the docudrama format is new for AMC, 'The Making of The Mob: New York' focuses on a world with which we are very familiar, given the enormously popular Mob films we have shared with viewers over the years," said Charlie Collier, AMC president. "We're extremely pleased with the initial response to the series, and we pay our public respect to Stephen David and his team, who have once again demonstrated what talented and unique storytellers they are. We look forward to sharing the rest of this story as it unfolds in the weeks ahead."

With new episodes of "The Making of The Mob: New York" airing Mondays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, the show continues AMC's original programming expansion into Monday nights that began earlier this year with "Better Call Saul" and "TURN: Washington's Spies." As part of AMC's "Mob Mondays," the network is partnering each episode of "The Making of The Mob: New York" with a lead-in from their extensive library of iconic mobster films, including The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, American Gangster, Donnie Brasco, Scarface, Casino and Carlito's Way.
