The New York Times has reported that comedian Jerry Seinfeld will continue his experimental web series COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE. In the vein of 'real' television, he has announced that he and Sony Pictures Television have picked up COFFEE for a second season. The digital sophomore outing will run for 24 episodes.

Though the series has yet to turn a profit, the 10 million viewers it netted last season were enough to grant the greenlight, Seinfeld told the paper.

In the series, the Emmy winning comedian combines "his love of classic wheels and rolodex of top-notch comedian friends." The one-minute teaser features Seinfeld, his long-time collaborator Larry David, Seinfeld co-star Michael Richards, Ricky Gervais, Alec Baldwin and Colin Quinn all driving around in their cars. Viewers will just have to hold their breath until the show's debut to see the 'getting coffee' element of the series.

COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE is available for viewing at Crackle or at comediansgettingcoffee.com.
