Second Wave of Nominees for Teen Choice 2011 Airs 8/7

The next wave of nominees has been announced for TEEN CHOICE 2011, airing live Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Television dramas "Pretty Little Liars" and "Switched at Birth" lead the second wave of TEEN CHOICE 2011 nominees with five nominations each.

Fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day, per category, for all of their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2011 nominees at www.teenchoiceawards.com. Voting concludes Friday, August 5.

It was also announced that, together with TEEN CHOICE 2011, ACUVUE(R) Brand Contact Lenses has created the ACUVUE(R) Inspire Award. This award, whose recipient will be revealed exclusively during the live telecast, recognizes the achievements of a celebrity teen and his/her outstanding charitable contributions over the past year. By using his/her celebrity positively, this honoree inspires teens to give back and strive to attain their goals, proving that one day everyone can achieve their dreams.

TEEN CHOICE 2011 celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. Justin Bieber, Rebecca Black, John Cena, Zooey Deschanel, Ashley Greene, Joe Jonas, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, Katie Leclerc and Mike "The Miz" Mizanin join previously announced participants Tyra Banks, Jason Bateman, Kirsten Bell, Rachel Bilson, Cat Deeley, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Gillian Jacobs, Tyler Posey, Maggie Q, Avril Lavigne, Kellan Lutz, Vanessa Marano, Joel McHale, Nikki Reed, Zoe Saldana and Taylor Swift. The special will also feature performances by will.i.am and Jason Der?lo.
