The only network with two primetime NFL packages, NBC continues its coverage of Thursday Night Football this Thursday, December 15, when Russell Wilson and the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks (8-4-1) host Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash. Coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. ET with Football Night in Seattle on NBC.
The Seahawks return home looking to bounce back from a 38-10 loss in snowy Green Bay. Wilson has 2,745 passing yards and 19 touchdown passes, while committing just three turnovers, in his past 10 home games. The Seahawks look to win the division title for the third time in the past four years.
The Rams won their first home game in Los Angeles since 1994 when they defeated Seattle 6-3 in Week 2, and have won their last three matchups against the Seahawks. Last week, Los Angeles rookie QB Goff, the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, scored his first career rushing touchdown and RB Todd Gurley rushed for a score in the Rams' Week 14 loss against Atlanta. The team plays its first game under interim head coach John Fassel, previously special teams coordinator.
Seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play) calls his first Los Angeles Rams game since 1991, alongside 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, with Heather Cox reporting from the sideline.
Bob Costas will serve as the host of the Football Night in Seattle pregame show from CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash. He will be joined on-site by Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy and two-time
SUPER BOWL champion Rodney Harrison.
