Season Finale of NBC's SHADES OF BLUE Wins Total Viewers in Time Slot

NBC's "Shades of Blue" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ties for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and wins the slot among those networks in total viewers versus CBS's "Rush Hour" premiere and Week 2 of ABC's "The Catch."

With its season-one finale, builds on its lead-in by +120% in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.5) and by +87% in total viewers (5.4 million vs. 2.9 million), while the slot's ABC and CBS drama competition is down by double-digit percentages in both measures and grows +10% week to week in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0) to a six-week high (best since Feb. 18, 1.1) and equals a nine-week high in 18-49 (matching its best since Jan. 28, 1.3).

Grows +4% week to week in total viewers (5.356 million vs. 5.130 million) to a seven-week high (best since Feb. 11, 5.399 million).

Despite its encore lead-in, grows +10% versus its most recent 18-49 rating to benefit from a first-run "Blindspot" lead-in (1.0 following "Blindspot's" 1.3 on Feb. 25). These numbers will increase dramatically with time-shifting and viewing on alternate platforms:

L+3: Last week's telecast grew by +78% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.05 to 1.87) and by more than 3.2 million persons in total viewers (5.1 million to 8.4 million), the biggest increases of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX in 18-49 percentage and overall viewers.

L+7: "Shades" has grown by +93% in adult 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (1.22 to 2.36) and 4.2 million persons in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 10.2 million).

Last week's "Shades" added nearly 800,000 full-episode views (P2+) in six days on NBC.com and Hulu (791,020).

An encore telecast of "The Blacklist" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET.

"You, Me and the Apocalypse" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equals its top rating since Feb. 11 in 18-49 (0.8) and hits a seven-week high in total viewers (best since Feb. 11, 2.967 million).

Maintains 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.6) and grows +4% in total viewers (2.793 million vs. 2.684 million).

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and alternate platforms:

"Apocalypse" has increased by +30% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 0.74 to a 0.96) and 731,000 viewers overall (3.0 million to 3.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Last week's episode added nearly 200,000 full-episode views (P2+) in six days on NBC.com and Hulu (183,513).

Upscale: "Apocalypse" is capturing a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 115 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" including L+3).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/4; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
